Mnemos Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

Mnemos is a local-first memory system for coding agents. By default, its memory store, indexes, and operational data live on your machine.

What Mnemos collects

Mnemos does not send telemetry, memory contents, prompts, embeddings, or SQLite data to Anthony Maio or Making Minds by default.

Mnemos stores the memories and metadata required for the memory workflows you ask it to perform, such as scoped recall, reconsolidation, graph links, health checks, and retrieval state, using local persistence on your machine.

Where your data lives

Mnemos is designed for local-first use. The default installation keeps its working memory and SQLite-backed storage on your own device or environment. Your host application may separately maintain its own logs or chat history.

External services

Mnemos can integrate with MCP hosts and, depending on your configuration, may use external embedding or model providers. Those providers are only contacted if you configure them. Their handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and other hosts

Mnemos can be used through Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and other MCP-compatible hosts. Those applications may keep their own settings, logs, conversation transcripts, or diagnostics independent of Mnemos itself.

Your controls

You choose what data is written to memory, when consolidation runs, which scopes are used, and whether any external provider is enabled.
